THE MAMBO BASIC STEP
The man: Putting all his body weight on the right foot, goes forward, shifting his weight to the left foot, on the count of 1. Stepping in place on the count of 2, with his right foot and together with his left foot, on the count of 3.
The man: now, shifting all his body weight on the left foot, he goes backward, shifting his weight to the right foot, on the count of 5. Stepping in place on the count of 6, with his left foot and together with his right, on the count of 7. Lady does the opposite.

Practice it as much as you can.
